Airlie Beach Race Week – 12-19 August 2022

Unfortunately we were unable to attend this awesome event in 2021 but it will be on in 2022. Escape winter windless days:

For the first time F16s and their big Sisters the F18s will race Airlie Beach – 9 races, windward leeward and passage.

This is going to be the BIG ONE. The one you don’t want to miss because its going to be the first one. Be the person recounting the stories of adventure, amazing sailing, tight racing and legendary parties in the beautiful Whitsundays, not the person saying argggh I should have gone, I could have gone.

Racing will be scored on VYC – Vipers and Nacra F16 at 68.5

Charter a boat, buy a boat, borrow a boat we don’t really care – just brush up on your best jokes and come to the party!

2021-22 NSW F16/F18 Traveller series – Provisional

DATES ARE:

6-7 November – Kurnell Top Gun – (it blows here so pack the big girl panties)
20-21 November – Beware the Bullets – Palm Beach Sailing Club, Pittwater
4-5 December – Big Cat – Mannering park
5-6 February – Tanilba Bay (possibly NSW F18 States)
19-20 February – South West Rocks
19-25 March – F18 Nationals Rockingham
25 April – Anzac Day Regatta – Speers Point

Its a rare opportunity in sailing where a boat suited to a lighter crew and youth sailors can compete on a equal footing with a senior boat crewed by a stronger, heavier crew.

Bring your juniors to learn from the big guns in the F18 fleet and senior sailors on F16s.

Tough love! Its how we empower champions.

There are often crew/skipper spots available on single hander boats. If you cannot find a crew come sail a F16 single handed – its all about the fun and the racing. Contact us for details
